When I brought in the Honolulu Advertiser this morning, I was wondering why I still get the paper. It is a ritual I still enjoy even though the content that is of interest is slim. And every now and then there is an article that speaks to me. And then I opened the paper up to the front page to the article about the Miracle Woman and Father Damien, chuckling at God for responding to my wondering. [...more]
On June 25, 2008, my 13-year-old son and I boarded a plane for Honolulu, Hawaii. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to live on an island. There is something in my life that I did NOT wish for. I am experiencing cancer for the third time.
